Japan’s Newest Virtual Reality Girlfriend Lets You Have 3D Cybersex

Published:

You can now buy your very own virtual reality girlfriend for under $100.

Some guys picture the perfect date as hitting it off right away with someone that laughs at your jokes and enjoys getting frisky. This is basically what it’s like to have a virtual reality girlfriend, sort of.

Japanese software company, Illusion, developed VR Kanojo, which is the newest adult virtual reality game for ages 18 and up. Known for their eroge, these are the same creators behind RapeLay, an early 3D video game that got quickly discontinued for it’s obscene rape storyline. Fortunately, Illusion came up with a less threatening adult VR game that’s changing what it means to be “involved” with a girl.

What exactly can you do with this virtual reality girlfriend?

VR Kanojo takes place in a bedroom that follows a dark haired, big-breasted schoolgirl, Sakura Yuuhi. It starts off by encouraging players to be alone in a locked room. This already sets the mood for players to do whatever they want with her.

If you’re not familiar with how virtual reality games work, the interactive part also includes using your hands. You’re not only looking around a 3D space. VR Kanojo allows you to engage with Sakura in both innocent and sexually explicit ways. You can help her with homework, dress her up and watch her sleep (creepy?).

When Sakura blushes, it signals that she’s in the mood for dirty stuff.

This is where the erotic play comes in. You can hit all the bases with Sakura from feeling up her breasts to switching up sex positions. Although you can have full-blown intercourse, Japan’s censorship laws only allow pixelated genitalia. In other words, you’ll have to settle for a blurry blob as a vagina.

In addition, VR Kanojo is working on a second, unreleased edition called Summer Vacation, which takes place on a tropical resort. The game heroine is a busty blonde, Alice Clover. Some of the interactive activities involve playing volleyball, eating ice cream, giving oil rubs and sunbathing.

As you can tell, the obvious downside to having a virtual reality girlfriend is that you don’t get real physical contact. Aside from playing with this VR girlfriend like a Tamagotchi, it’s another way to “feel” up a girl without actually feeling her. But that’s what our imagination is for, right? If anything, it could be the start to changing the way we create long distance sex toys.

You can purchase VR Kanojo on Steam for $49.99. It’s compatible with Oculus Rift and HTC Vive. The English version includes subtitles, but users warn that some of it is limited.

Do you think a virtual reality girlfriend is cool or creepy?
